HISTORY: Released in 1996, the NISMO 400R was a complete car based on the BCNR33 Skyline GT-R. Its 2.8-liter engine, known as the “RB-X GT2,” was tuned to produce 400 horsepower using metal turbines developed for N1 racing, which gave the car its name. The body and suspension were extensively modified to handle the increased power while maintaining the precise control expected from a GT-R. Although production was announced at 99 units, it is believed the actual number produced was even lower.
