HISTORY:
The 2nd generation Subaru Impreza was born in 2000. The most powerful WRX STi model, designed for participation in the WRC (World Rally Championship), was continued from the first-generation model. In 2002 the exterior was changed, evolving into the Applied C, known in Japan as the "tear-eye'' model due to the distinctive shape of the headlights. The WRX STi, produced by Subaru Technica International (STi), adopted an equal length exhaust manifold. In 2005, a minor change was made to arrive at the Applied F, commonly known as the "hawk-eye" model. This long-lived version was sold until a full model change in 2007.
