HISTORY:
The Gloria is a large luxury Japanese sedan. Initially released in 1959 by Prince Motor Company, it became part of the Nissan family when the two companies merged.
"Daitokai" was a highly popular prime-time television detective series in Japan, the first full-scale TV drama that Ishihara Promotions produced starring Tetsuya Watari.
Season 1 started in 1976, followed by seasons 2 and 3 in 1977 and 1978, for a total of 132 episodes. While the initial season was not action packed, the following ones introduced entertainment elements such as car chases. This became the foundation of Ishihara Promotions' later "Seibu Keisatsu'' series, also featuring Watari.
ABOUT THE REPLICA:
This model is a precise reproduction of the vehicle that appears in Season 3's 40th episode, "Doctor Munakata's Testimony." A unique piece of Japanese television heritage!
